Drawing to Print
A magical journey
A five day art course with Scottish artist Bryan Angus, who will take you through his method of making atmospheric lino prints. Bryan will take you from the local inspiration provided by the medieval town of Barga to finished print. Join Bryan Angus, a very well established and regarded printmaker to travel the magical journey from possibility to print
Starting with drawing sessions in the old town, you will be led through the winding streets of Barga, looking for the dramatic light and charming character of the old town. You’ll transfer your drawing to lino, then cut and print before the group exhibition at the end of the week.
Tuition from 10am to 4.30pm each day, but you are welcome to use the studio at all hours. Everything you need to make a print is provided, but do bring your favourite tools or equipment if you wish. No experience in printmaking is necessary. If you’d like to discuss the week with Bryan prior to travel, you can contact him via his website, bryanangusart.com. Bryan has completed a residency / artist in residence at Quattro Archi in 2023 with exhibition in 2024
