QA means the proprietors at Quattro Archi, Vicolo del Duomo, Barga
Location and Access
The QA property is in the historic centre of Barga which is primarily pedestrianized and it is necessary to walk for approximately four minutes from the parking area. Visitors should also note that the town is quite hilly and may not be suitable for those who have trouble walking unaided.
Property Conditions and Safety
The property is typical of those in the old town with stone floors, steep stairs and uneven surfaces. Visitors are responsible for taking due care and ensuring their own safety. It is strictly forbidden to lean over the edge of the terrace or sit on the perimeter wall of the terrace.
Accommodation and Catering
Accommodation is offered on a self catering basis which may be supplemented by breakfast if specifically agreed at the time of booking (usually courses include breakfast). Consumables such as toilet paper, washing up liquid, tea, coffee and some basic ingredients like salt, pepper and cooking oil are provided but food is not (breakfast exception). Rooms are cleaned before arrival and after departure but are not serviced during your stay. However if you need something we will try to organise it for you.
Dietary Requirements and Allergies
Where food or drinks are provided, visitors are responsible for taking all necessary precautions relating to their dietary requirements. Anything we serve is provided by a third party and our role is simply to open and serve. We do not cook on the premises but you are welcome to. If you have allergies, you must take your own precautions.
Check-in and Check-out Times
Arrival time is 16:00 and departure time 10:00. Usually we can be flexible and also provide luggage storage for a couple of hours if required.
Travel Arrangements
Travel arrangements are your own responsibility. As far as possible we will meet visitors at the local railway station (Fornaci di Barga) and this will be agreed on an individual basis. There are a number of travel options (bus, taxi, train, car) and you are encouraged to make contact so we can provide advice.
Security and Property Care
You are required to lock the doors and garden gate at night and when leaving the property unoccupied (specifically front door, door to terrace, door to house and gate from terrace to garden). Visitors are responsible for the security of their own property and valuables.
Visitors are required to take good care of the property and not to cause a disturbance to residents in adjoining properties.
Damage to Property
Any damage to the property or its contents must be reported to the housekeeper/proprietor the next day at the latest and may be subject to an additional charge for repair.
Data and Privacy
All visitors agree to provide the data necessary to manage their booking and report to the local police and local administration in accordance with Italian law. Personal information is not retained other than email addresses for our newsletter / future correspondence.

Course Cancellation and Refunds
In the unlikely event that we are unable to provide a course, we will notify visitors as soon as possible and provide a full refund within 30 days of notification of all sums previously paid in respect of the course/accommodation, unless the alteration or cancellation is as a result of "Force Majeure". Such events may include war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, actual or threatened terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our control.
Under no circumstances shall QA's liability to the visitor exceed the amount paid to QA.
